Who is my responding department?
You the customer are responsible for finding out what fire department your product needs to be keyed to. Suggestion: Contact the local fire department near the installation address. You should then select that department when selecting and purchasing product.
What is an Alarm Tamper Alert?
An Alarm Tamper Alert is a device you can install inside your Knox Box, it would be connected to your alarm system. Whenever your box is tampered with, your alarm company would be notified. You also have the option of connecting the tamper alert to your fire alarm system.
Who installs the Alarm Tamper Alert?
Metro Fire+Security can install the Knox Box, but the Alarm Tamper Alert would be installed by your alarm company or by an electrician.
Why do you need the installation address?
The installation addresses are required for fire department use in an emergency for their knowledge of who has a Knox box and who doesn't.
